Amber Yake will graduate from Thompson Rivers University in April 2010 with a Bachelor in Journalism and a major in public relations.

Amber works as an Account Assistant at Communication Solutions Inc. She is also the News Editor and Digital Editor for The Omega, Thompson Rivers University's independent student newspaper. On her own, Amber does freelance copywriting and editing, blogging and social media consulting. She has experience writing for newspapers, magazines and websites. She also maintains a personal, daily blog where she writes about a variety of topics.

Born and raised in Fort St. John, BC Amber moved to Kamloops in September 2008 to attend university. In her spare time, she is an avid runner who enjoys training for races. To date, Amber has run three half-marathons and a handful of small races.
